The explanation is a simple chemical explanation. The sugar molecules bind to the aroma molecules well and thus preserve them over time
Try one of our Sotran bottles such as Chateau Reissak, and find out
The finer, fresh and crisp the wine will be, the colder it will be served
The delicate and aromatic wines will be served between 6-8 degrees, more complex between 10-12, light reds between 14-16, heavier reds between 16-18 and so on
It all depends on the seasons and the temperature outside. For example, Chateau Giro will be served at 10 degrees and Bordeaux is made up of Saint Julien as Chateau Bayswell will be served in winter at 20 degrees
The term breathe comes to describe the action of the introduction of oxygen, much like the breath of a human being
In practice, wine that has been closed in a bottle for a period of time becomes introverted, self-contained and “closed”
In order to release aromas and flavors, we can give certain wines time to “breathe” before sipping on them
For example: Chateau Castelbrook will need about half an hour, chat for Epon Rocha between 45 minutes an hour, and Chateau Moton Rothschild for at least one hour
How do you know? Open the bottle and pour a little taste into the glass. Appreciate the wine and decide. Here, experience is definitely an advantage
If we follow a simple rule of thumb, the wine should complement the food and complement it. That is, it will strengthen it
Delicate dishes will suit fine wines, complex dishes, and complex wines
Very simple for example, Chateau Punta Cana will blend in well with rich stew and Chateau Punrock will accompany excellent cheese at the end of the meal
This is one of the most common questions about how to drink the whiskey.
Adding water does change the characteristics of the whiskey and so many believe that it is
not necessary to add water or ice to the whiskey in order to preserve its original properties –
an opinion that is considered old-fashioned nowadays.
Adding water creates new aromas and flavors that did not exist before.
The addition of water dilutes the high amount of alcohol, thereby highlighting aromas and
flavors.
Everyone's preference can be different, wrong or right. In general, the recommendations is
to first taste the whiskey as it is from the bottle and only then try to add water to it and see
which of the options suits you better.
For example, it is recommended to taste the Craigalchi 10 of 51% TBWC, without adding
water and then add some water to it which will cause the whiskey to open up and produce
new fragrances and nuances that did not exist previously.
Finishing is a process that a distiller transfers whiskey from one type of barrel to another.
Obsolescence in a barrel different from one to another and adds complexity to the whiskey.
The most common type is cherry barrels, which add rich flavors and nuances of dried fruits
and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Many types of barrels can be used in the whiskey
finishing process, including red wine, cognac, rum, port and more.
For example, Benromach Sesikaya first aged in Ex Barben barrels and then moved to finish in
Sesakaya red wine barrels originating in Tuscany, Italy, which gave his fruity flavors with the
light smoke, typical of the distillery.
