Established as a grocery business in 1895 by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail used their ‘centrical and commodious premises’ to showcase local produce and curate exotic commodities from around the world. One of those commodities was scotch whisky.
For more than 120 years, Speyside based Gordon & MacPhail have created a unique niche in the whisky industry as experts in the understanding of matching casks to spirits. One of the world’s most beloved independent bottlers, Gordon & MacPhails owns the largest and oldest whisky archive in the world.
