Gambrinos, the best-selling beer in the Czech Republic, is a typical Pilzner-style lager cooked in Pilsen under the Pizanski Prazdrovi Brewery. Gamberinus has a thick foamy head, deep golden color, medium body, and a distinctive bitterness that makes the beer the perfect accompaniment to a meal. The name Gamberinus is actually a variation on the name of Jan Primus – ruler of Flanders (Western Europe of yesteryear), who received the title of patron of the capital after he founded the drink at the beginning of the previous millennium.
