Choya was founded in Osaka Japan in 1914, as a wine grape grower. Towards the 1950s, Choya began to concentrate on the production of the traditional Omesho liqueur, which is the Fruit of the Nation (UME), the unique Japanese plum fruit. Today, Choya is the leading company in the world of Umesho and specializes in the production of excellent Umesho from selected natural ingredients.
